The Tigers put four players in double figures en route to a fifteen point home victory over the visiting Lake Central Indians Friday night. After getting behind 15-4, Warsaw rallied to cut the halftime deficit to 19-17. Then, the Orange and Black carried the momentum into the second half by out-scoring Lake Central 21-6 in the third quarter fueled by an 8-2 run to start the frame.
Wyatt Amiss led the Tigers in scoring by netting 5 of 7 three point shots while adding a free throw to post 16 points. Tyler Metzinger scored 12pts to go with his 6 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Blake Marsh tallied 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Nolan Groninger led the effort on defense by handcuffing LC’s point guards. He added 10pts and led the team in rebounds with 7. Bishop Walters converted on a free throw to round out the scoring.
Warsaw opens up NLC play next Friday night as they go on the road to take on the Wawasee Warriors.
