The Tigers rode a 13-3 first quarter run and weathered a 3rd quarter Memorial push to go on to finish the game with a 65-50 first round sectional victory.

Jaylen Reese led the charge with 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots while playing tough defense on Memorial’s best player. Almost posting a triple-double and leading the Tigers with a general-like floor game, Nolan Groninger had 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Trevor Rumple tallied 11 points leading a strong effort of players stepping up off the bench to ward off foul trouble, including Keagan Larsh with 6 points and 6 rebounds and Luke Adamiec with 4 points and 3 rebounds. Tyler Metzinger scored 10 points and nabbed 4 rebounds. Blake Marsh rounded out the scoring with 3 points and dishing out 3 assists as well.

The Tigers advance to the sectional semi-final to play Elkhart Central on Friday night. The game tips at 6pm at North Side gym.
