The Warsaw Wrestling team had another solid showing today at the Northridge Raider Duals. The Tigers went 3-2 on the day with wins over NorthWood, South Bend Adams, and South Bend St. Joe.

Warsaw opened the day on fire against NorthWood – jumping out to an early 16-0 lead with early wins from Jacob Bass, Jose Grimmett, and Brandon Estepp. Brock Hueber and Griffin Reed picked up wins to run the lead to 28-18. A long stretch of victories from Jose Martinez, Andrew Ross, Isaiah Owens, and Brock Hogenson closed the scoring out for Warsaw. NorthWood picked up just four head-to-head wins against the Tigers and Warsaw took home the win at 52-30.

Round two saw Warsaw battle with a tough Fort Wayne Snider team. Snider was able to take control of the team score late on the strength of their light/middle weight classes – closing out the team score at 40-29. Standout matches against Snider included pins from Jose Grimmett, Brandon Estepp, Jose Martinez, and Jacob Bass as well as a tech-fall from Brock Hueber.

Warsaw run up against a buzzsaw in Northridge in round three. Warsaw won just three matches from Brandon Estepp, Brock Hueber, and Jose Grimmett and the team score ran out to 54-12 for the Raiders. Warsaw did show a ton of resolve in the dual however as tightly contested battles from the Tigers earned the respect of many of the coaches and fans in attendance.

Warsaw closed the day out against under-manned South Bend teams. Adams and St. Joe both had a number of forfeits in their lineups, and Warsaw was impressive in the face-to-face competitions. The Tigers defeated Adams 66-10 and St. Joe 71-6.

Warsaw had several individual standouts on the day. Jose Grimmett, Brock Hueber, and Brandon Estepp all went 5-0.

Jacob Bass and Jose Martinez went 4-1.

Andrew Ross, Isaiah Owens, Brock Hogenson, and Griffin Reed each went 3-2.

The Tigers also got wins from Austin Brown, Josh Pelfrey, Jayton Brock, and Angel Mendez.

The Tigers record is now 10-7 overall and 3-2 in the NLC.
Warsaw will host Triton on Wednesday night in the Tiger Den.
