Pitching By Chookie and Solid Tiger Defense Shuts Out Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw Varsity Takes The Win

Courtney Chookie threw a gem on Friday for Warsaw Tigers Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Tippecanoe Valley by a score of 9-0

Lindsey Bradley collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Warsaw Tigers to victory. Bradley singled in the first, singled in the fourth, singled in the fifth, and singled in the seventh.

The Warsaw Tigers opened up scoring in the first inning. Warsaw scored two runs when Saylor Bradley singled.

Warsaw Tigers Varsity scored three runs in the fourth inning. Isabelle Dittmar, Chookie, and Bradley each had RBIs in the big inning.

Warsaw’s Chookie earned the win for the Tigers. She allowed just three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking one.

Kayla Scott took the loss for Tippecanoe Valley. She lasted seven innings, allowing 12 hits and nine runs while striking out three.

Warsaw Tigers Varsity tallied 12 hits. Lindsey Bradley, Carmen Albertson, Katie Anderson, and Saylor Bradley each collected multiple hits for Warsaw Tigers Varsity.

The Tigers improved to 10-13 overall. Warsaw’s next game is at home for Senior Night on Saturday at 6:30 PM.
