The Warsaw Tigers (2-1) dropped their home opener to a very hungry Homestead Spartan (1-1) team 38-56. Homestead’s pressure caused several early Tiger miscues that led to a 24-11 halftime advantage for the visitors from Ft. Wayne. In the second half, Homestead rode a fine shooting night (57.1% FG and 47.1% 3FG) to win going away.
Jack Rhoades and Trevor Rumple scored 7pts each. Nolan Groninger, Brian Elliott, and Jack Grose added 6pts apiece. Tyler Metzinger grabbed 5 rebounds for the hosts.
The Tigers host the Huntington North Vikings tomorrow.
