The Tigers came out on top with a fantastic team win, scoring in 14 of the 16 events at Goshen High School as they topped both Concord with a score of 77-55 and Goshen with a score of 81-51.
The Tigers were led by Nick Bazzoni, Hunter Metzger, and Jack May as the trio went first, second, and third in the Pole Vault.
Event Winners for Warsaw included Kyle Dawson in the Discus and Nick Miller in the Shot Put. Finishing first in running events were Alijah Wade in the 200 meter dash, Tanner Stiver in the 800 meter run, and Sam Lechlitner in the 1600 meter run. The 4×100 meter relay team consisting of Alijah Wade, John Culbertson, Jayton Brock, and Mason Martz also had a first place finish.
Finishing runner-up for the Tigers were Jaxon Wagoner in the Shot Put, Nick Miller in the Discus, Mason Martz in the Long Jump, and Tyler Metzinger in the High Jump. Issac Mitchell and Alijah Wade had second place finishes in the 400 meter run and the 100 meter dash. Also finishing second were Tanner Stiver, Maston Norris, Austin Fleming, and Jacob Denzer in the 4×800 meter relay team.
The Tigers will be back in action on Friday night as they host the Max Truex Invitational, one of the premier invitationals in Northern Indiana. Teams competing will be Valparaiso, Hobart, Laport, Penn, Mishawaka, Homestead, Fort Wayne Carroll, and Fort Wayne Wayne. The meet will start at 6:00 pm.
