ADMISSION: $6.00 per session or $10.00 for a tournament pass. No charge for pre-school children who will be seated with an adult.
ENTRY DOORS: Door B, Door I, and Door M will open 45 minutes prior to the first match on each day for spectators. Door I is the entrance closest to the main gym and is best accessed from the west parking lot.
HOME TEAM: Throughout the entire tournament, the second-named team or the team on the lower line of any bracket is always designated as the home team and will have choice of bench. Their opponents will be named first or appear on the upper line of the bracket and will be designated as the visiting team. Host school will always have choice of bench and will be home on the scoreboard regardless.
TEAM BENCHES: During a match, the 14 eligible players, eligible coaches, team manager(s), statistician, scorekeeper, etc., may occupy the team bench. Behind the team benches, approximately 3 rows of bleachers will be available for the JV team members and media personnel. Any unauthorized persons will be instructed to remove themselves from the bench area.
RESTRICTIONS: The following items are not permitted: Balloons, banners, posters, and noisemakers. Anything that may obstruct the view of spectators, are unsightly, or may become hazardous will not be allowed. Also, “line-up” lanes of fans shall not be permitted on the playing floor at any time. Goshen Police will be on duty during the sectional.
SPECTATOR VIDEOTAPING: Taping/filming may be permitted at any time provided approval is obtained from tournament management. Taping/filming may be restricted to certain areas or may be prohibited if space is unavailable, i.e. sellouts, nature of facility, etc.
SPORTSMANSHIP: Considerable effort should be made to promote sportsmanship. Give the officials the utmost cooperation in helping to eliminate any form of unsportsmanlike behavior. If there are any spectators unwilling to accept the principles of good sportsmanship, they will be asked to leave the premises and they will be reported to the IHSAA.
AWARDS: At the conclusion of the championship game, a game ball will be awarded to the runner-up team, followed by the presentation of the Sectional trophy and game ball to the championship team.
REGIONAL: The winner of this sectional will advance to the LaPorte Regional on Saturday, October 26.
