Warsaw Tiger senior catcher Liam Patton capped an outstanding high school career and senior season by being selected by the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association to represent the North in the annual North-South All-Star baseball games this summer.
Patton’s strong arm, steady glove and playmaking not only impacted the dynamics of games, but his mere potential to make plays did as well, as teams would often not attempt a stolen base in certain situations.
The future Little Giant heading to Wabash College in the fall hit .440 with a .750 slugging percentage and drove in 28 runs his senior season.  This past year, Patton also led the team with 11 doubles, had one triple, and was the team leader in home runs with six blasts.  Behind the plate, Patton proved to be a tremendous receiver and gunned down 19 baserunners this past season.
This year’s North-South All Star series will take place in Madison, Indiana and begin on June 21st.
