Boys Varsity Basketball · Tiger Alumni Mangas and Marandet Receive Crossroads League Honors

Tiger alumni Kyle Mangas and Paul Marandet were honored by the Crossroad League this week as Men’s Basketball postseason awards were announced. Former Tiger and Indiana Wesleyan University Freshman Kyle Mangas was named 2017-2018 Crossroads League Player of the Year, First-Team All-Crossroads League, Crossroads League Freshmen of the Year, and Crossroads League All-Freshmen Team. Kyle averaged 21.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists for the conference champion Wildcats who finished the regular season at 26-7. The Wildcats will be playing in the NAIA National Tournament which begins March 7 in Sioux Fall, SD.

Spring Arbor Sophomore and Tiger alumnus Paul Marandet was also named a First-Team All-Crossreads League performer. Paul was also named to the Crossroads League All-Defensive Team. Paul averaged 18.8 points and 5.8 assists per contest for the Cougars who finished the season at 20-11.
